Straight 8, short film analysis

I thought the short film was entertaining yet sinister. The soundtrack of a young girls voice as if like a nursery rhyme added a feel of happy times and love. Yet the story of the man falling in love with the ‘stiff’ was quite peculiar and not something that you see everyday.
The camera shots were quite interesting; as the creators, Jacqueline Wright and Alice Lowe, used a wide range of editing, such as zooming in and fading out. Plus the low lighting and soundtrack adds the strange feel of

    Do include links/uRLs in posts so i can find your films without googling and you can easily find them again later. I hope you noted what it said on site about straight 8 'rules' involving a single camera and no editing. Not quite sure of impact on construction but do ask Ms Raison ... might not be a technique to copy. Try to keep using all your toolbox technical language in your comments. The more precise you are, the more this viewing and deconstructing process will help you make creative decisions of your own. Great start though - well done. very original! Will it play at school?!
